DELIA-DIRECTOR OF BOYS' LACROSSE
OPERATIONS |
Coach Delia, is the co founder
of Nutmeg Sports Camps along with Ken Vilar.
The vision that the two former Long Island
natives had has been put into motion. Their
relentless pursuit to bring quality lacrosse
instruction to the players of Connecticut
has started to take hold all around the
state. Since the year 2000, Nutmeg Sports
Camps has strived to offer nothing but the
best instruction, the best coaches and the
top concepts of the game. During this time
coach Delia, affectionately known as DOUBLE
D has dedicated much of his free time away
from his coaching duties to the development
of Nutmeg Sports Camps.
Double D is a certified US Lacrosse
Progression Instructor, as well as a
Co-Director of Run and Shoot Lacrosse Camps. Delia begins his
first year at Fairfield University where his
duties include serving as Offensive
Coordinator as well as Recruiting Director
for the Stags, after a six year career at
Yale University ending with the season as
interim Head Lacrosse Coach. Under his
guidance, the Bulldog's record was a very
respectful 9-5 with victories over playoff
teams from Penn State and Army. Prior to his
leading the Bulldogs, he was the Offensive
Coordinator for two seasons and Defensive
Coordinator for two seasons. During this
period he was also the Recruiting
Coordinator. Coach Delia is known throughout
the lacrosse world as a top recruiter.
Under his guidance, Yale received back to back
honors as one of the top 10 offensive teams
in the country.
Before
joining the collegiate ranks, Delia was the
head Boy's Lacrosse Coach at Guilford High
School in Guilford CT. from 1996-1997. Prior
