Tim McIntee
Currently in his tenth season as head coach, Tim McIntee has been at the forefront of the successful turnaround of the Manhattan College men's lacrosse program.

In 2002, McIntee’s men’s lacrosse team went undefeated (9-0) in conference play and captured the programs first-ever MAAC Championship. For his efforts, McIntee earned MAAC Coach of the Year in 2002. The 11 victories were the most in team history.

In the summer of 2002, McIntee was selected as a coach for the 2002 World Games for Team Ireland. He was the offensive coordinator and man-up coach. The team went 6-2 with key victories over Korea, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Italy.

McIntee joined Manhattan after a stellar playing and coaching career on the collegiate, professional and international level. While at C.W. Post, McIntee was a three-time NCAA All-American and a four-year letter winner in lacrosse as a midfielder. McIntee went on to play with the United States World Team in the 1990 World Championships. He starred in the professional ranks as a member of the New York Saints of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League. In seven seasons with the Saints (1990-97), McIntee recorded 97 points (46 goals, 51 assists), which ranks him among the all-time leading scorers in franchise history.

Before Manhattan, McIntee was an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for St. John’s University from 1993-96. He also coached the boys’ lacrosse team at Syosset High School in 1996 and 1997 and coached East Islip High School from 1994-1997.

Tom Mariano enters his 10th season as the head men's lacrosse coach at Sacred Heart University.

Marino has helped the Pioneers evolve into a solid and competitive program as they enter their fifth season as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), arguably one of the top-lacrosse conferences in the country. Since the transition to Division I began in the 1999 season, the goal of the Pioneers has been to compete for a league championship and an NCAA berth each season. Playing a hard-nosed and enthusiastic style, the Pioneers reflect the work ethic and competitive traits of Mariano.

With the move up to the Colonial Athletic Association in 2002, the Pioneers have fielded an up-tempo offense, a tough, aggressive midfield and closed defense. After a solid 7-9 mark in their inaugural Division I season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2000, in which a young team lost four conference games by a total of five goals, the Pioneers came back and posted an 8-8 overall mark (7-2, MAAC) in 2001. This earned the Pioneers their first-ever MAAC Lacrosse League tournament appearance.

Prior to coming to Sacred Heart, Mariano was the head coach at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. A native of Ossining, NY, he is a graduate of Ossining High School. In 1994 he graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. As a sophomore, he helped lead the Golden Flyers to the 1992 Division III national championship.

During his junior and senior seasons, Nazareth lost in the national semi-finals. As a senior, Mariano was one of the top long-stick midfielders in the country and was named an alternate for the Division III North / South All-Star game. During the summer, Mariano is the Director of the Nike Lacrosse Camp at Sacred Heart University, and also serves on numerous coaching staffs at lacrosse summer camps throughout the Northeast.

Mariano earned his Master's of Art in Teaching, specializing in Elementary Education, at Sacred Heart in 2000. He and his wife, Alison and daughters Jordyn and Ryanne, reside in Stratford, CT.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (July 24, 2007) - Sacred Heart Director of Athletics Don Cook and head men's lacrosse coach Tom Mariano announced the hiring of J.P. Brazel as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2007-08 season. Brazel joins the Pioneer coaching staff after spending last season as an assistant on the Manhattan College staff.

Brazel, a Levittown, New York native, worked primarily with the offense and goalies under Manhattan head coach Tim McIntee, helping the Jaspers to a 7-8 mark in 2007. Prior to his stop at Manhattan, Brazel served as an assistant coach at Nassau Community College from 2003 to 2006.

While at Nassau, Brazel led the development of the team's goaltenders and defensive units as well as working with the team's face-off specialists. In addition to on field coaching, Brazel assisted in the coordination of the team's recruiting efforts. He helped lead the school to the NJCAA Semifinals and Regional Championship in the 2003, 2004 and 2004 seasons.

Nassau was not only the location of the start of Brazel's coaching career but it also marked the beginning of his collegiate playing career as well. In 1999, Brazel earned All-American honors as a goaltender and helped Nassau to an NJCAA Championship title. He moved on to Hofstra University and while competing for the Pride, led them to two NCAA Tournament in 2000 and 2001.

Since 2000, Brazel spends each summer working at lacrosse camps throughout the New York area.

He holds a degree in psychology from Hofstra University and is currently enrolled in the master's program for New York State Certification in counseling at Manhattan
