Chase joined Daniel Hand HS
in 2007 following a
successful career on the
coaching staff at Hobart
College. Chase coached
Defense and Goalies at
Hobart and mentored two
All-Conference players
in the Division I
Tournament. In 2005,
Coach Chase helped the
Statesmen earn a top 10
ranking in the country.
Prior to Hobart, Chase
coached at Hamilton
College where he helped
the Continentals to the
2003 NCAA Championship
and the program's first
NCAA Tournament
appearance. Hamilton
finished the season with
a 15-3 record and ranked
12th in Division III
after advancing to the
NCAA Quarterfinals.
Chase worked primarily
with the Continentals
defense, mentoring two
All-Americans. Prior to
his work at Hamilton,
Chase spent three
seasons as an assistant
coach at Haverford
College.
A four-year starter at
West Chester University,
Chase played close
defense and long-stick
middie for the Golden
Rams. He led West
Chester to three ECAC
Division II Championship
games, including the
1998 title. Chase
graduated from West
Chester in 1999 with a
bachelor's degree in
health and physical
education.
Ron is from Southington, CT. He grew up playing
lacrosse for Southington
Youth Lacrosse and CONNY.
Ron was a four-year
defenseman and
long-stick middie for
Southington High School.
He has refereed at the
Southington Jamboree for
the past 10 years.
