It will
start on
Sunday,
September
9th and
will run
through
October
21st.Boys Grades 5-9 - 9am
to
11 am
Boys
Grades
10-12
will
train
from 11
to 1pm.
Boys
should
bring
cleats,
pads,
stick,
and water.

communicate
reminders,
schedule
changes,
or
weather
related
information.

Darryl Delia
Assistant Head Coach
Fairfield University Men's Lacrosse
Program
Director
|
Daryl Delia, former interim head lacrosse coach at Yale
University, begins his fifth season as the assistant
head coach of the Fairfield University men's lacrosse
program.
Delia is the
offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.
Under his tutelage the Stags are averaging nearly 10
goals per game, 528 in four seasons, and have won 29
contests.
Delia was the
interim head coach at Yale in 2003 and recorded
a 9-5 record. He served as the head assistant
coach at Yale from 1998 to 2002, where his
responsibilities including coordinating
recruiting activities for the program. He was
also the team's offensive coordinator, and was
responsible for the planning and implementing of
off-season workouts for the team. Under his
guidance, Yale received back-to-back honors as
one of the top-10 offensive teams in the
country.

Delia was the head lacrosse coach at Guilford high
School from 1996 to 1997. He also assisted
the boys' lacrosse program at Hamden Hall
High School from 1994 to 1995. He served
East Haven High School as head wrestling
coach from 1993 to 2003, in which time he
registered a 187-59 record and earned
Southern Connecticut Conference Wrestling
Coach of the Year honors in 1999.
Delia is the president of the Nutmeg Sports Camps, a
position he has held since 2000. He is
the director of the Run & Shoot Lacrosse
Camp, and is a certified U.S.
Progression Lacrosse Instructor.

| Mike Waldvogel
Mike Waldvogel played lacrosse at Levittown Division
High School where he earned
first team All-County honors
in 1964 and 1965. He played
defense and midfield at
Cortland State, earning
First-Team All-America
honors for defense in 1968
and 1969. He played in the
1969 North-South Collegiate
All-Star game.
Waldvogel
played club lacrosse for the
Long Island Athletic Club
from 1970-77, and Miller
Lacrosse Club from 1978-79.
He played on the 1974 and
1978 U.S. teams. He began
coaching as an assistant at
Cornell from 1970-80. Since
1980, he has been the head
coach at Yale University. He
has served on the
All-American Selection
Committee since 1990 and is
the Secretary/Treasurer of
the United States Lacrosse
Coaches Association. He
served on the NCAA Lacrosse
Committee from 1988-94, and
the 1981 U.S. Team Selection
Committee. Waldvogel was an
assistant coach for the 1990
U.S. Team. He started Eli
Youth Lacrosse in 1980 and
was elected to the Long
Island Metro Hall of Fame in
1988. In 1990, Waldvogel won
the Touchstone Award as the
Division I Coach of the
Year.
Coach Waldvogel leads the
very successful Hurricanes
and has authored what many
consider the definitive text
on Developmental Lacrosse.

Ryan Vilar
Ryan Vilar, currently playing professional lacrosse
for
the
Boston
Cannons
after
being
drafted
by
the
Philadelphia
Barrage.
Ryan
was
a
standout
midfielder
at
powerhouse
Hofstra,
a
U19
team
tryout
candidate,
a
North-south
All
Star
team
selection,
whose
acdemic
training
in
speed
and
weight
training
will
offer
an
additional
level
of
expertise
to
aspiring
student
athletes.
 Paul Purdy
 Paul Purdy is the coach of the Danbury Boys Lacrosse Team and brings his coaching and playing skills to Fall Ball.
Springfield College attackman was named honorable mention STX/USILA Division III All-Americans after leading the Pride to its fourth Pilgrim League Championship and NCAA Tournament berth in the last five years.
Purdy was also named the Pilgrim League Player of the Year and a New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) second-team selection this spring. He finished second for the Pride with 64 points (31 goals, 33 assists) and wrapped up his career as the seventh all-time leading scorer in school history with 204 points (120 goals, 84 assists).
Tony Vallance
Tony Vallance begins his first season as an assistant coach with the men’s lacrosse program at Fairfield University. He will serve as the team’s defensive coordinator, work with the goal keepers, and assist in day-to-day operations of the office, including recruiting efforts.
Vallance comes to Fairfield from Bellarmine University where he has served as an assistant coach since Dec. 2003. In that time he has worked with the goalkeepers, face-off men and defensive unit. In addition, Vallance was responsible for recruiting efforts, strength and conditioning and opponent scouting.
Vallance began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at Dean (MA) Junior College during the 2001 season, coaching the goalies and defensive unit. He spent Oct. 2001 through May 2002 in the Republic of Kiribati with the US Peace Corps. Upon his return to the States, Vallance was hired as an assistant coach at Muhlenburg in July 2002, working again, with the goalies and defensive unit. He also handled recruiting, and scouting in that role, which he held until making the move to Bellarmine.
A native of Laurel, Md., Vallance was a goalkeeper for Penn State from 1995-97. He earned his degree, B.S., in Labor and Industrial Relations, graduating in 1998, from the University Park, Pa., institution.
